Tarius Pray
Tarius Pray, 49, died on June 17, 2020, after a medical emergency in his dormitory cell at the Norfolk City Jail, where he was held. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died. The Norfolk Sheriff's Office said its Professional Standards Division is conducting an internal review, and the Norfolk Police Department is investigating the death as undetermined. The same week, another person was found hanging in a cell at the jail and was hospitalized in critical condition.
