Susan Elizabeth Silva
Susan Elizabeth Silva, 29, of Kempner, died on May 17, 2012, while held at the Matagorda County Jail in Texas. Matagorda County Sheriff Gary Mathis said a jailer found her attempting to hang herself in her cell. She was pronounced dead at Matagorda General Hospital, and the sheriff would not say what she used. The Texas Rangers are investigating the death, and a state custodial death report lists it at the jail on that date with no cause stated.
