Stormye Murphey
Stormey Marie Murphey, 30, died on August 15, 2017, while held at the Denton County Jail in Texas. The sheriff said she had a medical episode the day before and was taken briefly to a hospital before being returned to a cell in the jail's medical unit. A routine cell check found her unresponsive, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a suicide caused by asphyxia from hanging. The Texas Rangers are investigating the death.
