Steven Richie
Steven "Zeke" Richie, 41, of North Judson, Indiana, died on February 3, 2018, while held at the Starke County Jail in Starke County. Indiana State Police said he swallowed a substance during processing into the jail and was taken to a hospital, where he was later cleared to return. Police said he became lethargic and stopped breathing while officers were moving him from his cell to go back to the hospital. An autopsy showed no trauma, and toxicology results were pending when the reports were published, so the cause of death had not been confirmed.
