Steven Daniel Sager
Steven Sager, 70, died on August 23, 2026, at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, the Iowa Department of Corrections said in a press release. He had been moved to the prison's hospice unit before his death, which the department reported as occurring at 7:25 p.m. The department did not state a cause or manner of death.
