Stephen Vrabel was executed by lethal injection at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, Ohio, where he was held in state custody. According to NBC News, about an hour and fifty minutes before he died, he told staff that he was ready and that the day was harder on his family than on him. He spoke most of his family's suffering that day.
