Stephen Rudolph Nalley
Stephen Rudolph Nalley, 49, of Rome, Georgia, died in his cell at the Floyd County Jail on August 26, 2015. Police said another man held at the jail beat him to death, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said he was apparently beaten to death. The man charged in the death has given his own account, saying Nalley attacked him first. The Floyd County Sheriff's Office declined to comment while the investigation was ongoing.
