Stephen Maxwell
Stephen Maxwell, 52, died on March 22, 2017, while held at the North Fork Correctional Facility in Sayre, Oklahoma. The state medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide caused by a stab wound to the chest. Maxwell was taken to a hospital in Elk City, and officials said it was unknown whether he died en route or at the hospital. The Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General is investigating how he was injured and died.
