Starlene Mcgilberry
Starlene Mcgilberry, 38, died on June 10, 2026 while in the custody of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, at the Intake, Transfer and Release Facility in Phoenix, according to the sheriff's office's inmate death report. The sheriff's office's Jail Crimes Detectives are investigating, and the cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results. Separate local news reports from late June and early July 2026 describe three deaths at the Lower Buckeye Jail over a weekend, without names, and the sheriff's office said causes and manner await autopsy results. Those reports do not say whether they refer to Starlene's death.
