Stacey Lopez
Stacey Nicole Lopez, 18, of Augusta, was held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. She was found unresponsive in an isolation cell there on September 5, 2023, and taken to Augusta University Medical Center, where she died the next day. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office said she was suffering from what was believed to be a self-inflicted injury and asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate. The GBI said the cause of death is pending an autopsy.
