Small (alias Douglas)
A Black man named Small (alias Douglas) was being held in the jail at Wyckliffe, Kentucky, when he died on October 10, 1903. The Keowee Courier reported that early that morning a mob of about 100 men took him from the jail. The men hanged him from a tree in the jail yard. The death was a lynching by a mob that took him from the custody of the jail.
