Sindi Spray
Sindi Spray, 24, died on December 16, 2018, at the Oklahoma County jail, where she was held. She was found unresponsive in her cell, and jail staff tried to revive her before she was pronounced dead at 5:30 p.m. The state medical examiner's office said she died of a perforated ulcer. Her mother, Rhonda Spray, of Atwood, said her daughter had suffered stomach pain for most of her life and would have reported being in pain, and she questions how long Sindi lay in her cell before anyone checked on her. The sheriff's office said a detention officer had checked on her about half an hour before other people held at the jail noticed she was unresponsive.
