Shaylee Rene Rachels
Shaylee Rene Rachels, 28, died on August 7, 2026, after jail officers found her unresponsive in her cell at the Randall County Jail in Texas. She was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Randall County Sheriff's Office has not stated a cause or manner of death, and the custodial death report lists both as pending autopsy results. The Texas Rangers are investigating, and the custodial death report says it could not yet be determined whether a pre-existing medical condition was linked to her death.
