Shawn Lichtfuss
Shawn Lichtfuss, 53, of Voorhees Township, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Camden County Correctional Facility in New Jersey on September 19, 2025, and was pronounced dead that night. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Gloucester-Camden-Salem County Medical Examiner's Office said an autopsy found he died of asphyxia and ruled the manner a suicide. Officers were reported to have made lifesaving efforts before he was pronounced dead. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is reviewing the death, with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office assigned to investigate.
