Shawn Hamilton
Shawn Hamilton, 57, died on December 18, 2025, at a hospital in Pendleton, Oregon, while he was held at the Eastern Oregon Correction Institution, a state prison. The Oregon Department of Corrections said the state medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death, and that Oregon State Police were notified, as they are for all deaths in custody. No cause of death has been announced. The department has not said how he came to be taken to the hospital.
