Shawn G. Jackson Jr.
Shawn G. Jackson Jr., 21, was held at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, where he was found unresponsive in a yard on July 28, 2024. He was taken to an outside hospital and pronounced dead that afternoon. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says another incarcerated person beat him, and the department is investigating the death as a homicide. The Kings County Coroner will determine the official cause of death.
