Shawn Dewon Callaway
Shawn Dewon Callaway, 39, was from Auburn, Alabama. Three days after he was booked into the Lee County Detention Center, he was found unresponsive in his cell during checks on July 20, 2024, and died. An autopsy found that he died of asphyxia from compression of his neck, and his cellmate was later indicted for murder.
