Shaun Ryan
Shaun Ryan, 36, had serious medical issues and was placed in hospice care in August 2019. The Muscogee County Sheriff's Office said he died on September 21, 2019, after being taken from the county jail to Piedmont Columbus Regional hospital, and it attributed his death to chronic medical issues. The sheriff's office said he had been in and out of the jail since January and had been released several times this year. A hospice spokesperson said he was no longer in hospice care at the time of his death, which conflicts with the account that he was released to hospice homecare in September.
