Shareef Hasan Martin
Shareef Hasan Martin, 40, was held at the Fayette County Detention Center in Kentucky. On March 30, 2021, according to the jail's news release, staff saw him in apparent medical distress and jail medical staff sent him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. The jail said the cause and manner of death were still under investigation by Lexington Police and the Fayette County Coroner's Office, and it announced an internal review.
