Shannon Atwood
Shannon Atwood, 53, of Canaan, died on the morning of September 7, 2023, while held at Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston, according to the Maine Department of Corrections. The department said medical personnel attended to him and that, as standard policy, it notified the state attorney general's office and the state medical examiner's office. No cause of death was given in the reporting, and the department has not said how he died.
