Shane Starkey
Shane Starkey, 38, of Ravenna, died in custody at the Hall County Jail in Grand Island, Nebraska, on May 7, 2022. The Hall County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to an in-custody death just before 9:30 p.m. that Saturday and confirmed he had died in custody. The sheriff's office has not disclosed how he died, and the death is under investigation by an outside law enforcement agency and will be reviewed by a grand jury.
