Shane Mullen
Shane Mullen, 49, of Hartly, Delaware, died on May 28, 2026, while held in a temporary holding cell at Delaware State Police Troop 3 in Camden. Delaware State Police said video showed him alone in the cell when he hanged himself with a shoelace, and that he was pronounced dead a short time later. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit and the Department of Justice's Division of Civil Rights and Public Trust are investigating the death.
