Shandi Parisi
Shandi Rochelle Parisi, 30, was from the City of Newburgh, New York, and was being held at the Orange County Jail in Goshen. Undersheriff Ken Jones said she died by suicide, hanging herself with a bedsheet in her cell after a trustee found her unconscious on the morning of Saturday, November 21, 2015. She was pronounced dead at a hospital after emergency responders could not resuscitate her. The state Commission of Correction is investigating the death, as it does with all jail deaths.
