Shamari McIntosh
Shamari McIntosh, 26, of Okolona, was held at the Lee County jail in Mississippi when she died on the evening of June 3, 2026, at a hospital in Tupelo. Sheriff Jim Johnson said jailers found her unresponsive on the floor of her cell and that she appeared to have suffered a medical emergency. The sheriff said investigators found no signs of trauma or attack, but an autopsy is pending and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the death, so the cause and manner have not been determined.
