Shallen Richoux, 48, of Marrero, died on the night of Sunday, July 26, 2020, after he was found unresponsive in a solitary holding cell in the intake booking area of the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna, Louisiana. Staff treated him at the scene, but he was pronounced dead soon after.
