Shakur Black
Shakur Black, 25, of Wilmington, died on July 8, 2022, while held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Delaware. Delaware Department of Correction spokesman Jason Miller said staff found him unresponsive in his cell that morning, and EMS paramedics pronounced him dead about forty minutes later. The department said his body was sent to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine the cause of death. A Delaware State Police investigation is pending, and the manner of death is listed as pending.
