Sebastian Shaw, 53, died in custody at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem in early October 2021, according to the Oregon Department of Corrections. The department gave the date as October 3 in one report and October 2 in another. The Oregon State Police was notified, as it is for all in-custody deaths, and the state medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. No cause has been given, and the department has not said how he died.
