Sean Phillip Smith
Sean Phillip Smith, 34, died in February 2017 while held at Lieber Correctional Institution in Ridgeville, South Carolina. The South Carolina Department of Corrections said he died late on Sunday night or early Monday morning, and its public information officer, Sommer Sharpe, said the department had not yet said where his body was found. The cause and manner of his death were listed as pending. The department said the circumstances are under investigation and that it does not suspect foul play.
