Sean Ousterhout

Sean Ousterhout, 43, was from Barre, Vermont, and was held at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility in Tutwiler, Mississippi, a private prison where Vermont houses some of the people in its custody. The Vermont Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his cell early on March 9, 2024, and was pronounced dead about half an hour after staff tried lifesaving measures. The department said its Corrections Investigative Unit would investigate his death, as is standard.
