Sean Michael Alexander
Sean Michael Alexander, 33, of Pismo Beach, was diagnosed with a mental illness at age 7, and his parents said it had become unmanageable by high school. At the time of his death he was on a waiting list for acceptance to Cal Poly. He died on March 24, 2015, at the San Luis Obispo County Jail, where he had been held for about a week in a single cell. The Coroner's Office ruled the death natural, citing microscopic encephalitis, a swelling of the brain, with the cause undetermined.
