Sean J. Tomsha
Sean Jarrett Tomsha, 31, died on the night of Monday, March 3, 2025, at Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina, where he was held. The South Carolina Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his cell, which he had to himself. Prison officials said the death is under investigation as a suspected suicide, and an autopsy is planned. The State Law Enforcement Division, the Richland County Coroner's Office and the corrections inspector general's office are investigating, and no cause has been announced.
