Sean E. Barry
Sean Barry, 33, was a man his sister says was always there for her and her daughter, went out of his way for anyone, and was working landscaping and odd jobs while trying to do better. He was held at the Flagler County jail in Florida, where on Sept. 16, 2023, he was found hanging from a bedsheet in his single cell and taken to AdventHealth Palm Coast. He never regained brain activity, was taken off life support, and died on Sept. 21, 2023. Hospital records list the manner of death as undetermined, and the Flagler County Sheriff's Office describes it as self-harm. His sister disputes that he was suicidal and says deputies gave her conflicting accounts of what happened, and the medical examiner's autopsy is pending.
