Scott Collinsworth
Scott Collinsworth died on October 2, 2015, while held at Apalachee Correctional Institution in Sneads, Florida, a state prison operated by the Florida Department of Corrections. Prosecutors said his cellmate beat him to death with hands and feet in his cell, and the Florida Department of Corrections recorded the manner of death as homicide. Authorities described the attack as ambush-style. A jury returned a second-degree murder verdict against the cellmate in January 2018, and prosecutors said the attack was shown at trial through photographs and witness testimony.
