Sarah Maillet
Sarah Maillet, 34, of Gypsum, died in her cell at the Garfield County Jail on Thursday, October 12, 2017. The Garfield County Sheriff's Office said she was found hanging, that she used her thermal underwear to make a noose, and that she was not on suicide watch at the time. She was taken to Valley View Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The coroner has not determined the cause or manner of her death, and an autopsy and toxicology analysis are pending.
