Sappi Tchoualack Jeugoum Franck, 21, of Austin, was held at the Travis County jail. On September 8, 2023, he was found in an altered state in his housing unit, according to the sheriff's office, and was taken to a hospital. He was treated there, taken off life support, and died on September 13. The sheriff's office has not said what happened, and the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office and other agencies are investigating his death.
