Santos Oretz
Santos Oretz was held in the Pueblo city jail with Jose Gonzales. Police officers said an armed mob of several hundred citizens forced the jailer to release the two men. Officers said both men were found hanged from the Fourth Street bridge about 45 minutes later, on September 13, 1919. The jailer released the men to the mob under this force.
