Sandra Cunningham
Sandra Cunningham, 63, died on September 26, 2024, while held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Detention officers and medical staff found her unresponsive in her cell, and jail officials said she had no cellmate and had last been seen during a sight check at about 6:41 a.m. A News 9 report said her last sight check had been about an hour before staff found her, and that she was found while staff were distributing medication. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 8:35 a.m., and the state medical examiner has not yet determined a cause or manner of death.
