Sam Kevin Cox
Sam Kevin Cox, 59, died on September 5, 2023, at William Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama, where he was held. Staff found him unresponsive in the prison infirmary, where he had been receiving treatment for significant natural diseases, and he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said the autopsy found no trauma or foul play, and the Alabama Department of Correction said it is investigating the circumstances of his death.
