Sam Garrett

Sam Garrett was one of two men held in the jail at San Augustin, Texas. A Yorkville Enquirer report published April 30, 1890 says a mob took him and another prisoner from the jail on the Thursday night before publication and lynched them. Whether the mob got in by force, or whether the jailer resisted, gave up the keys or handed the men over, is not stated in the report.
