Died in prison
Saleem Abdullah
Saleem Abdullah, 53, died in September 2011 at Western Correctional Institution near Cumberland, Maryland, where Saleem was held in state custody. The Allegany County State's Attorney's Office said Saleem Abdullah died of asphyxiation and that the death was a homicide. In January 2013, another man held at the prison pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The Allegany County State's Attorney's Office said a fellow prisoner, Robert Eubanks, asphyxiated him, and Eubanks pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in January 2013.
