Sabari Varman
Sabari Varman, 35, was a differently abled man from Eeththankaadu near Suchindram who ran a small shop next to his home. He was found unconscious in his cell at the Nagercoil district jail, where he was being held before trial, and was declared dead on arrival at a government medical college hospital on July 13, 2026. Relatives gathered at the hospital, demanded an investigation and said they would not accept the body until the cause of death was established. According to reports, a post-mortem found injuries on his body, and police are treating the death as a suspected murder while the motive is still being investigated.
