S. Ford, who was held in the death house at Sing Sing prison, left a will asking that money from his commissary deposit pay for a chicken dinner for the men held with him there, and the prison commissary chief said he would carry out the request. S. Ford hanged himself in the death house on February 17, 1925, and The Montgomery Advertiser reported the death as a suicide. The paper's account is the only source for these details.
