Ryshaone Thomas
Ryshaone Thomas, 32, was held at the State Prison in Trenton, New Jersey, when he was found unresponsive in his cell on Sunday morning, July 4, 2010, and was pronounced dead at 5 a.m. The state Department of Corrections said attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and that he was alone and did not appear to have been in a physical altercation. The department had not released a cause or manner of death, and a family member, Linda Reis, said she had heard he may have had an asthma attack. He was raised by his grandmother, who has since died.
