Ryan Mazzariello
Ryan Mazzariello was 26, and friends said he had served in the military and lived with post-traumatic stress disorder. He was held in a single-person cell at the Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto, California, where he was found unresponsive on the morning of January 17, 2013. Sheriff's officials said he had no signs of trauma and that the coroner's autopsy could not determine a cause of death while toxicology results were pending. Police, in a news release, said an autopsy found no signs of foul play, and the manner of his death remains pending.
