Ryan Mansfield
Ryan Mansfield, 24, died on July 21, 2016, at Lieber Correctional Institution in Ridgeville, South Carolina, where he was held in state custody. The Dorchester County coroner said strangulation was the cause of death, and the manner of death was listed as pending. State prison officials said he was killed in an altercation with his cellmate, and the Department of Corrections' Office of the Inspector General investigated the death. One wing of the prison was placed on lockdown while the investigation continued.
