Ryan Mansfield, 24, died on October 27, 2016, while held at Lieber Correctional Institution, a maximum-security prison in Dorchester County, South Carolina. According to Dorchester County Coroner Alice Durr, his cellmate strangled him in the early hours of that Thursday morning, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner ruled the death a homicide.
