Ryan Galindo
Ryan Galindo, 40, died in June 2019 while held at Kern Valley State Prison in California. Prison officials said his cellmate attacked him in their cell earlier that year, causing severe head trauma. He was taken to a prison triage area and then to an outside hospital, and was later moved to a long-term care facility, where he died. In September 2026 the man who shared his cell pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in his death, and sentencing is set for October.
