Ryan Elliot, 30, of Middletown, died at the Monmouth County jail in Freehold Township on November 19, 2020. He was found hanging from a bed sheet in his cell early that Thursday morning, and he was pronounced dead at 5:08 a.m. Cynthia Scott, a spokeswoman for the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, said the death was not considered suspicious and appeared to be a suicide.
