Ryan Burks
Ryan Burks, 39, died while in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, which confirmed the death to a news partner. Earlier that September he had briefly escaped from the Carroll County Regional Correctional Facility and was recaptured in Oxford. The department has not said where or how he died, and the questions have been referred to the Mississippi Medical Examiner.
