Ryan Brunn

Ryan Brunn, 20, was held at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, Georgia, when he died on January 19, 2012. Corrections officials said he was found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at a hospital later that day, and the Department of Corrections spokeswoman described the death as apparently a suicide. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation later said an autopsy found he died by ligature hanging and that the manner was suicide, with no other significant trauma. Reporting noted that officials declined to say whether precautions such as suicide watch had been in place.
